I gotta say that seein the Skanks lose is nice and it used to be great especially when i used to feel bad for the sox, those days are gone. Burnett is showing what he truly is; a pitcher that went double digits in the W column only one other time before last years contract performance. 82mil really?!?! I think the yanks are finally realizing what everyone else said before they scooped him up. Just their luck too, the guy has been unstoppable against the socks while with toronto but has looked less than average. its still young in his stint with the yanks but it looks like this might be a bumpy road.
And btw that quote of Burnett where he said he has "shown glimpses of greatness" when asked about how he feels he's done thus far. WTF?!?

Mets Draft Outcome
Does anybody really care or pay attention, probably not except for losers like myself.
Here as per nj.com were the results for yesterday.
In the second round, with the No. 72 selection overall, they took a lefthanded pitcher from Long Island named Steven Matz, who went 6-1 with an 0.47 ERA in his first seven starts on the season for Ward Melville High School in East Setauket, N.Y.
In 44 innings, he allowed 11 hits, 15 walks and had 81 strikeouts. A 6-2, 192-pound, 18-year-old, he throws between 89 and 93 mph, usually settling in around 90, according to Bryan Lambe, a special assistant to general manager Omar Minaya.
With their third round pick, No. 102 overall, they chose Robert Shields, a 6-foot, 220-pound shortstop out of Division 2 Florida Southern College.
Shields, a junior, hit .345, with five homers, two triples, 19 doubles, 37 RBI and 10 steals in 57 games this season. He hit .329 over his three-year career and started 167 games. He was a second-team all-Sunshine State Conference selection as a sophomore.
I don't know where it all went from here but that was the first two picks, now lets see if they have the confidence to skip out on the college bid and step into the real world.

Skanks and the Philth
Well well well, this should be a hell of a week fir us Mets fans. I've already screwed my recliner into my mom's new hardwood floors five feet in front of the TV and have hidden all the remotes. What am i missing......hmmmm
Ah, of course. BOOZE!
Well being a good alcoholic i have a wide variety of beers and liquors, unfortunately they are all empty, my stock was depleted after a solid four days of binge drinking and doing drugs. Might have to put some krunk juice on tap for this one.
If anyone bothers to read this and wonders what this magical concotion known as krunk juicemust be. Well don't get excited, get ready to go crazy.
Pay attention:
Take 2, 12 packs of Keystone Light, cans b/c they don't make bottles (not any cheap beer, keystone light is essential, why exactly? I don't know but it isn't krunk without it), then take a 1L bottle of everclear, and kool aid pink lemonage mix (get the economy size, those individual packets serve no purpose here.)
Great, we have our ingredients!
Now get your hands one of those gatorade coolers (usually acquired from your high school gymnasium) and mix it all together with the pink lemonade added last and amount varies on preference. Now all you need is a bunch of mets fans and hot chicks, the mets fans will go crazy when we cruch the phils and the girls will be winehousein it up in notime and the cops will be there before you know it. Enjoy.
I'll be back to actually talk about the games themselves shortly.

Big Pelf gets big prick in Pitts
As was suggested to me yesterday this recent debacle against the pirates is similar to the mess we had last year going out to see the padres, only that was even more sad, at least against the pirates half our team was missing. Watching Big Pelf deliver his shittiest start ever couldn't have come at a worse time, like getting a herpes outbreak the day of your big date with sally slobsmeknob down the alley big pelf looked like a desperate man that couldn't get the lube on his palm quite right. I'm not a pitching coach but how bout you throw some fuckin strikes?!?!?! This would be a good starting point, i guess pelf's starts like this remind us of how lucky we are he didn't carry on with the way he was going two years ago when everytime i bought a ticket to shea the baseball gods would open up the flood gates so that i would inevitably be stuck watching an even younger mike pelfrey do his best impression of a major league pitcher.
I just realized that i might be the only one that knows why i bothered to go on and on like a drunken wfan 2am drunko skankee fan, so here's my explanation. I have nothing better to do at work except piss and moan, and there isn't a better topic than the mets. The jets are in the title of my blog but most likely won't get any love until that wonderful time of year where our AFC East supermodel QBs battle it out to see who can look the gayest in GQ while managing to drive every woman i know gaga and on to modells to get their jerseys.
Anyways if you have taken any time to even look at this page i applaud you because its all pretty sad. Blog on motha fuckas, blog on.
Punctuation is overrated.
